Eight days of September I spent at this kitesurfing camp Auberge de Nomades (website here), in the Western Sahara desert, on a border of a vast and blue lagoon. A simple camp, beautifully set among the sand dunes and ovelooking the blue ocean water. Each morning as I opened the door of my bungalow the desert light was so bright it hurt my eyes. What a happy morning it is to wake up feeling such an amazing and warm amount of light.
Life was simple at the camp and it was exactly the rhythm I was longing for. Breakfast, kite session, hot shower, lunch, mint tea, rest, afternoon kite session, hot shower, rest, dinner, sleep. A small group of great people was fun to hang out with. Fatima cooked us a beautiful and spice flavored food. And to my highest delight, three most friendly and social dogs (Billy, Taureq and Moly) lived at the camp. How pleasant it is when a beautiful, friendly dog decides to walk along with you, play with you and lay at your feet in the sand to absorb last moments of the sunlight.
I will write more about the kitesurfing spot and show more photos from the place very soon.
