Rio's celebrations

It will be Rio de Janeiro for this holidays and I can not tell you enough how excited I am about this travel. The reason is Christiane&Pedro’s celebration of their love and union, they are getting married shortly after the New Year in Petropolis. So I packed my beach towel, board shorts and bikinis, a book and sunscreen and in between I read about Rio, an amazing city that stretches between beach and mountain. The rich culture and history, gorgeous beaches, historical buildings and new cuisine to discover are the highlights.  Life happens out-of-doors in Rio, my kind of place. It sounds so vibrant, alive and diverse it will be a nice change for a moment after sleepy and so so quiet Switzerland. We will be renting this lovely flat in Ipanema beach and celebrating Christmas and New Year on the beach. I am thrilled and jumping out of my skin with a thought of seeing the colour of the ocean very soon; planning to rent a bike, a body board and getting up early for morning swims. And simply celebrating summer and love&friendship while soaking up the sun…
